Week 13: From My Vault: 2 Movies Watched

Continuing my weekly series where I go through my impressively large collection (1,054 titles) of DVDs and Blu-Rays. I have been neglecting older movies for new ones, so I’m going through and re-watching everything from my vault. I have the films divided into categories: General, Series, Classics, Kids, Shakespeare, and Documentary. I’m starting with General.

Brewster’s Millions (1985)

Format: DVD  Special Features: None
Last Time Watched: Over twenty years ago
Originally Viewed: Rental
Comments After Re-Watching: I remembered a surprising amount of this movie. The biggest surprise was seeing Rebecca Bunch’s mom from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend looking so young and fabulous.
Why You Should You Watch This: While the movie isn’t the greatest, the idea makes you think about how you would spend thirty million dollars in thirty days.

Brick (2005)

Format: Blu-ray  Special Features: Behind the scenes, commentary, and interviews
Last Time Watched: Two years ago
Originally Viewed: Rental
Comments After Re-Watching: The movie doesn’t feel that old, but everyone in it looks so very young.
Why You Should You Watch This: It is a smart film noir detective story set in a high school with the 1930s gumshoe vernacular. While it takes a bit to get used to, it is well worth the effort.

Another week’s selection with more randomness of the types of movies I own. Come back next week to see what I watched next.

Have you seen any of these movies? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section!
